Bio

My family moved a lot and from 1st to 8th grade I attended nine different schools in northern New Jersey. When we moved to Northern Virginia in 1974, so my father could work on the DC Metro project I was delighted to learn that we were going to stay here long enough for me to go to all four years of high school at the same school. I attended Falls Church HS, and graduated in the summer of 1979. I went to a vocational school to learn about computers and their associated technologies in 1983, and worked in the computer technology sector for over 30 years. During that time, I had four children, one of which graduated from West Springfield HS, and the other 3 from Robinson SS. When I retired in June of 2024 I decided to give back to the school system that played such an important role in my life as both a student and proud parent of four children, so I decided to become a Substitute Teacher. I focus on 4th through 6th grades and love the time I get to spend with our students.
