Bio
I'm a retired IT professional turned philanthropist. After an 11-year career at Booz Allen Hamilton, I left industry to focus on raising my children and shift my life purpose towards philanthropy and impact. Both my children, who are FCPS alums, are now grown. And thus, I am fully focused on my philanthropic endeavors. I currently serve as the Board Chair of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Greater Washington area. In my six years there, I have served on various comittees and chaired our annual fundraiser, The Red Shoe 5K. I also serve on the Board of Educate Fairfax, which serves as the non-profit foundation supporting FCPS. I currently serve as the Lead of the Community Engagement Committee, focus on increasing awareness and engagement for our mission. Finally, I serve as a Board member at the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia, where I chair the Nominating & Governance Committee. In addition, my husband (an FCPS Alum) and I, are the founding donors of the Scholarship Fund for Northern Virginia, a new endowment being built at the Community Foundation to support any student from Northern Virginia with financial need attending a Virginia public university or Virginia community college.
