Bio

Timothy Gill is a seasoned Senior Executive and Intelligence-Security Advisor with more than 30 years of success across the crisis and consequence management communities in the public and private sector. In 2017, Tim co-founded Specter Security Group, LLC (SDVOSB)- specializing in protective intelligence, and executive protection services for C-Suite clientele. As an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Mr. Gill advises industry executives on proactive measures to mitigate risk and prevent loss on critical business equities. Tim was recently appointed to the International Spy Museum – SPYEX – Guest Speaker series advising Fortune 500 Industry on mitigating insider threats, corporate espionage and using proactive intelligence methods to mitigate theft. Periodically, Tim consults with various Country Music Association (CMA) artists in the Nashville, Tennessee arena following the 2017 terrorist attack on the Open Roads Concert in Las, Vegas, Nevada. Throughout his U.S. Government career, Timothy held leadership positions throughout the U.S. Intelligence Community - including 12 years managing joint FBI-CIA operations against transnational terrorism and organized crime. During his joint duty career at CIA, he spent many years overseas in Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Asia and Europe recruiting and debriefing clandestine informants. Tim is a recipient of two CIA awards for his dedicated leadership in the takedown of two international terrorism leaders sought by the U.S. Government. During his FBI tenure, he served as an expert witness for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia in the prosecution of Al-Qaeda WMD Operative Ali Saleh Al-Marri tasked with executing a second wave of attacks months after 9/11 and an U.S. based Iranian sleeper agent Mohommed Vaghari tasked with supporting Iran’s biological weapons program at the Pasteur Institute. Tim also worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), serving on the White House Core Group on WMD Terrorism, and managing remedial oversight operations at abandoned hazardous waste sites. Tim authored several U.S. EPA studies and is a multi recipient of the two U.S. EPA Bronze Medals for his work in countering environmental terrorism and sabotage of critical infrastructure. Mr. Gill represented the U.S. EPA at the 1996 Summer Olympics all the while supporting the Central Intelligence Agency in combatting environmental terrorism, critical infrastructure sabotage operations specifically Al-Qaeda’s conspiracies to sabotage food, critical civilian resources and the chemical/oil & gas sector. Following Tim’s decorated FBI career, he served as a Senior National Security Advisor in support of overseas U.S. Intelligence Community operations designed to counter the threat of illicit weapons proliferation. During this period, he consulted with global leaders on insider threat exploitation in critical infrastructure. Tim authored numerous counterterrorism and intelligence courses/exercises designed to shape public and private industry optics in mitigating risk from over the horizon threats. Concurrent with overseas travel, Tim actively consults with the U.S. Hotel and Lodging sectors and, Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry executives on the mitigation of human trafficking, active shooters and internal control/fraud risk. Following the recent Al-Qaeda/Islamic State religious edict to actively target and assassinate U.S. Business leaders, Tim has served as a subject matter expert to Nashville Chamber of Commerce and the Country Music Association Industry on innovative security protocols. Lastly, Mr. Gill takes great joy serving as a State of Virginia licensed law enforcement/criminal justice instructor at George C. Marshall STEM Academy mentoring students on careers in the U.S. law enforcement and Intelligence realm as well a educating them on the latest investigative and intelligence collection technologies in responding and proactively disrupting threats to human health and national security. Mr. Gill has published several articles/papers on human trafficking, long actor terrorism and threats to the U.S. Economy from transnational terrorism.
