Shriya Boppana is an Indian-born American beauty pageant titleholder, activist, and on-air personality. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and worked as a full-time technology consultant at Accenture, one of the world's largest consulting companies, and part-time founder of her anti-sex trafficking startup, Becoming A Voice, before joining Duke University's MBA Class of 2026. As a gender equity and sex trafficking activist, Shriya has worked with the United Nations Foundation, the Malala Fund, the US Department of Justice, the Obama Foundation, She's the First, Bachpan Save the Innocence, and many more for the past 9 years. With her non-profit organization, Shriya has helped save young girls from black market trafficking rings in underserved countries and held sexual health education workshops in over 360 orphanages, schools, and poverty-stricken areas across Northern India educating over 19,600 children on consent culture. Her work has been featured on ABC as a ‘Future Leader of America,’ Fox 5 as a ‘Voice for the Voiceless,’ and Flaunt Magazine as a ‘New Generation Beauty Pageant Champion' along with Business Insider, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, TEDx, and many more. Shriya received a personal letter of appreciation from Virginia Senator, Mark Warner, as a result of her advocacy journey calling her an “exemplary leadership, talent, and community service.” In 2023, Shriya became the 2nd youngest person on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Austin and was the youngest inductee into the Fairfax County Hall of Fame for her anti-sex trafficking work. She now hosts her own TV show, “Becoming a Voice with Shriya Boppana,” on Fox 5 Plus spotlighting social justice causes with depth such as domestic violence, acid attacks, and sexual assault reaching 6.2 million households every episode. Shriya has been in pageantry since 2020 and was 1st runner up at Miss India DC 2020, winner of Miss India America 2020, 1st Runner Up at Miss Earth DC 2022, and 1st runner up at Miss Grand US Virgin Islands 2024 with awards for highest interview score in all 4 competitions and Miss Grand Smile.
