High school is often filled with moments that shape who we become, and for FCPS alum Trisha Dahal, those moments were rooted in creativity, mentorship, and growth.
Trisha reflects that teachers and mentors provided unwavering support throughout her school years. She states, “I was fortunate to have teachers who were incredibly supportive throughout my academic journey. Their guidance and encouragement extended beyond high school and into college. Because of their support, I was able to achieve my dreams and goals. They played a significant role in shaping who I am today.’

FCPS pushed Trisha to go beyond simply meeting expectations. Through diverse learning methods and engaging coursework, she developed strong communication skills and leadership experience that continue to serve her today.
One of Trisha’s favorite high school memories came from her academy level photography classes at Fairfax High School. Through an advanced photography course, she not only learned technical photography skills but also gained valuable experience in leadership and networking. Access to professional equipment and hands-on learning opportunities allowed Trisha to refine her craft and build confidence in her abilities.

Trisha has achieved proud accomplishments in college, including being published through the George Mason University College of Visual and Performing Arts and working hard and earning a high GPA. She believes these milestones reflect the strong foundation built during her time in FCPS.
Looking back, Trisha’s advice to her high school self is simple but powerful: seek help whenever possible. Taking advantage of teachers and external resources earlier would have helped better prepare for the transition to college and strengthened essential academic skills.

Today, Trisha has come full circle and works for Fairfax County Public Schools. Her decision to return was driven by a love for working with children and a passion for art. Inspired to potentially teach art in the future, she values the opportunity to help create better futures for students, support those who need extra assistance, and collaborate closely with teachers in meaningful ways.
Outside of work and school, creativity remains a driving force. Favorite hobbies include photography and exploring AI-generated art—she uses both outlets for artistic expression in new and evolving ways.

Trisha’s journey is a testament to the lasting impact of FCPS—and the power of education to inspire, support, and transform lives.
